Mannar - The Bell Metal Town is a major business town situated in between Mavelikara and Thiruvalla, in Alappuzha District of Kerala state, India. Bell metal is a hard alloy or it is form of bronze made approximately of 78 per cent copper and 22 percent tin.Nearly 300 families in mannar have carried on the tradition of bell metal products making in their alas and hence the mannar is named as "The Bell Metal Town". Mannar is connected via 4 railway stations (Chengannur, Thiruvalla, Harippad and Mavelikara) at a distance of 9 km each on four sides.
